Alex Ormrod is the founder and Managing Director of Teddy Henry Metrics, the specialist MEP cost planning and cost intelligence consultancy he established in 2020. With over 20 years experience in MEP cost management across both pre and post contract, he has delivered commercial advice on projects spanning the UK, Europe and internationally, including data centres, healthcare, residential and commercial schemes. He began his career in 2006, holding cost management roles at Gardiner and Theobald and EC Harris before founding THM.
He built THM around a clear conviction: MEP-led cost management grounded in robust cost planning and effective procurement, with senior expertise embedded on every instruction. As Managing Director he oversees all client services personally, challenging design assumptions and adding commercial value from early feasibility through to procurement close-out.
George Ormrod is Technical Director at Teddy Henry Metrics, leading the firm's data management and automation division. He is responsible for developing THM's cost modelling data, digital tools and cost planning systems, turning live project data into a structured cost intelligence capability. George is currently studying MSc Software Engineering at Oxford, bringing a technology-first perspective that strengthens THM's work in digital transformation and data-driven cost intelligence.
For clients, this means the platform they use is built and maintained by someone who understands both the technical architecture and the commercial environment it operates in. Every new instruction informs the platform. Every piece of feedback shapes what gets built next. It is the reason THM Cost Intelligence improves continuously rather than standing still.
Will Ormrod brings over twelve years of experience in MEP cost management across both pre and post contract, working across a broad range of sectors including data centres, commercial, leisure, healthcare, residential, infrastructure and education. A qualified quantity surveyor and Associate of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, he trained alongside Alex and has developed a reputation for a proactive, design-led approach to cost management that keeps projects commercially grounded from feasibility through to final account.
Based in Madrid and working across the UK and Europe, Will brings an international perspective to benchmarking and commercial advice that spans different markets and project environments. His work on live instructions forms a core part of the benchmark data and cost structuring methodology that underpins THM Cost Intelligence.

Teddy Henry was founded in 2020 by Alex Ormrod, after building his career in MEP cost at some of the UK's most recognised consultancies, including Gardiner and Theobald and EC Harris.
The firm grew quickly, building a reputation for specialist, honest advice across multiple sectors. As the practice developed, it became clear that the tools available to cost professionals were not keeping pace with the complexity of the projects they were advising on. Spreadsheets, gut feel and recycled benchmarks were still the industry standard. George Ormrod, a software engineer and MSc candidate at the University of Oxford, saw the opportunity. Together, the team began building THM Cost Intelligence: a structured cost intelligence platform grounded in real project delivery. The consultancy remains at the heart of everything. The technology is what comes next.
